Race Iksar
In my estimation, stereotyping entire races are for those daft of mind and weak of heart (hopefully you agree!). For this reason, as I state the vast majority of the preordained stereotypes assigned to the races of EQ2 I do so with quite a bit of trepidation. Or hell, maybe I’m just too PC for my own damn good and it’s carrying over into the virtual worlds…but I won’t focus on that or I may reveal a bit too much of my insanity.
Anyhoo, as the lore goes, Iksar are extremely savage, cruel creatures who rule their homeland with a brutality unrivaled in all of the realms of EQ. Due to this sweeping statement, all Iksar are automatically assumed to be evil….and are summarily banished, erm, "asked" to live in the evil town of Qeynos after ridding themselves of refugee status.
However, we here at MPS are righteous, upstanding folks. For this reason we see absolutely no reason why a chubby, jovial adolescent from Anytown, USA (or insert your own country here) couldn’t choose to set out to change the perceptions of the race entirely and create a new breed of Iksarians. The choice (dramatic music)…….is up to you.
Apparently the Iksars evolved from an aquatic reptilian species, as they can see exceptionally well under water compared to the other races of the game. When hunting underwater, it would be prudent to focus solely on non reptilian creatures, as after all they are of your own ilk!
