Power Leveling Your 2nd Char

By admin On March 1, 2007 Under Everquest Eq2 Gold

I recently started a new char just for fun and wanted that char as high as possible. I was just planning to use it for artisian spell making although i found the char to be much more usefull. Anyway here it goes:

Starting on the isle of refuge you can go 2 different ways, i chose to do the long way for the better benefits but if leveling is all you want then do only the fighting part. I got all my mining/foresting/gathering to 30+, which I think will be very important later on. I noticed there is lots of people on the isle’s doing the same thing. But the trick is learning the spawn spots. Once you have those down you go gather and mine everything you can in those spots. Then you can go to the mariners bell and travel to other isle’s 1-7 i think, So clean up on 1, then goto 2 and so on. You will hit 30+ in your skills in no time. You also may want to bring your artisian to level 5 while your there, and i think theres a quest for a 10 slot bag.

Now you will probably need level 6 to complete the above easily. Once you hit level 6 on the island dont stop killing. The trick is when your level 6 your exp will still go up, so you will get that nice 4% gain per kill. You can go all the way to 220% exp before it cuts you off. I would stop around 200% exp due to the qeynos citizenship quests give you exp as well. Be sure to run your class quests on the isle for exp as well. You should do that when you first get off the boat.

Once your ready goto Qeynos. First thing you should do is run your citizenship quest junk. You know the lame part of the game where you have to find your inn and hang your picture and set your table. Once you gain citizenship you will ding to level 8 with 20% exp. I think this is an exploit of sorts because the exp system i figured would be based on Fibonacci numbers (1 1 2 3 5 8 13…) or some D&D exp rules, not linear. Once you ding 8 go around and pick up quests in your home town and noob areas, oakmyst is a good place for that. If you did the harvesting in the isle like i recommended then oakmyst is prime. Run some quests there, the poacher one is good and get to level 9 with 200% or so exp. (Since you cant ding to 10 without subclass quest). Once your ready go and run your subclass quests. These are very easy, just takes a while to finish. Once you choose your subclass and complete all the tasks you will ding to 11 or so, I ding from 9 to 12 after my subclass quests but i think that was only due to the higher exp gain during the holidays.

After you hit 12 go run some town quests in your home town. Very easy stuff plus it will give you travel exp. Feel free to fight in ant too. Now once you hit 13 i would run the "Balance of Life" quest in wilow wood. I was able to do all 3 parts at 13 without a problem and it has some nice exp for that lvl. This should ding you to 14 if you have been fighting inbetween. Now you can run more noob quests in qeynos for some exp and items or fight some crows in field near steppes station for exp. Once you hit 15 goto Blackburrow. Level 15-18 in BB, then run your sub-sub-class quest. After 20 stick in groups in TS fighting animated scarecrows, griffons and giants. Do you AQ’s as well, they make for some good exp and all the items are great. Once you hit about 25 is a good time to move on to varsoons and nekulos forest.

Sorry the guide is soo long, just wanted to be exact.
