You guys are right, but in psychology something becomes an addiction when it’s something you become unable to stop and it harms you. Say this dude’s goal was to be a lawyer, and he still wants to, but he’s failing his high school classes and can no longer get into college at all. He hates himself for ruining his own dreams, but STILL can’t stop. That’s an addiction. You could play 10 hours a day on the weekends, 4 hours a day on the weekdays after school and still not be “addicted”.

“blame his parents.” Couldn’t agree more. I would have put a stop to it long before holes were in the wall. The fact it she was a poor parent who should have acted sooner. Even now she should be doing something, insted she is going on the news (probibly for cash) and crying about it. If it were left in my hands he would be cold turkey and taken away from a parent who obviously cannot take care of him.

Actually wrong, you dont need to play them “5 years”. And even if you do need to play for that amount of time, you dont need to spend all of that time into playing it. If you do then yes you need help, but the fact is that most people who play WoW dont play it 24/7 like the stereotype portrays. You may think they’re losers, but some people may think your a loser for calling anyone who plays that game a loser and just generally insulting people.
