Warcraft Lore 8: Illidan Returns with Naga

By admin On November 18, 2010 Under World of Warcraft

Months after the destruction of the Burning Legion and The Scouge at Mount Hyjal, another demon Overlord, Kil’Jaeden, recruits Illidan to destroy the weakened Lich King in the Frozen Throne, promising great power in return. Illidan had obtained (tricked by Arthas) the skull of Gul’dan which transformed him into a black demon-being. He plans to destroy the master of The Scourge no matter the cost to his soul. However, because of his new form, he is labeled as a traitor and a renegade by his own brother and people thus banished from the forests. He then recruits the help of Lady Vash and the Naga race from under the sea, who were of the same race as Illidan 10000 years before but were mutated after the original Well of Eternity was blown apart and the continents torn assunder. With these fearless warriors Illidan means to right his past wrongs by destroying the Scourge. But power corrupts…

Betrayers , in truth it was illidan who was betrayed ! , still he is hunted , still he is hated, yet his blind eyes can see what others cannot, sometimes the hands of humans must be forced to hit the like button !

Sooo, Arthas turned Illidan into some dark demon to serve him, so he got freed from the burning legion but went with the scourge? Its like you get out of jail only to be put into a different one.

@mrjupip Satyr on the other hand were Highborne spellcasters corrupted by Azshara’s High Councilor, Xavius, after he in turn had been corrupted and tortured and punished by Sargeras himself after Malfurion Stormrage killed him (the first time). Sargeras stripped Xavius of his Nelven form and reformed him as the first satyr. After his rebirth, Xavius spent much of his free time corrupting and turning his fellow powerful spellcasters to satyr as well. Source = War of the Ancients Trilogy.

@mrjupip Naga were the Night Elven (mostly Highborne but not specifically spellcasters) servants and loyal followers of the Queen Azshara 10,000 years ago before the Sundering and the War of the Ancients. When the Well of Eternity was destroyed because of Sargeras’ failed portal to Azeroth, the Nelf capital of Zin-Azshari and half of Azshara (the region) and Kalimdor beside was eaten away by the Sundering and pulled into the new sea between EK and Kalimdor.

@mrjupip Naga were the loyal highborn of queen Azshara, that changed like she did when they were pulled into the depths of the sea after the well of eternity was destroyed along with half of Kalimdor (Eastern kingdoms and Kalimdor were one big continent) Satyr were high born that were just corrupted by the Burning Legion I believe. The specifics of either were never really explained. So the standard explanation would be “it was magic”.

@Frost2899 WTF have u been smoking? Illidan was alive about 10,000 years before Arthas was born. He was turned into a half demon when he consumed the skull of gul’dan. He HAS worked with the burning legion a few times but he has NEVER worked with the scourge, please do research before u post, seriously it’s kinda fail. And btw he has been sent to kill Ner’zhul and by extension Arthas aswell… seriously lol “Arthas turned Illidan into some sark demon to serve him.” LOL
